I would be most grateful if any of you wizards out there could help. We have a database using Lotus Approach which we print customers receipts. In some branches we are using Windows XP and other are using Win 98. The branches that use 98 have no printer problems, the branches using XP have problems. The problem has no pattern, sometimes it prints, sometimes it doesnt.
I purchased the upgrade for Lotus Approach for XP. This has not resolved the problem. I am using a HL1440 printer.
I am now stuck as to fix the problem. I can print again occasionally in other programs such as word but again it is hit and miss whether it works or not. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepte.
Many Thanks. Mike

Approach doesn't work well with some printer drivers. See if you can get an updated driver for XP from HP's web site.

Normally you can use an alternative driver like the LaserJet Series II but I don't know if this would support the paper size needed for a receipt printer (or even if a HL1440 is a laser printer.)
