Hi all... a couple of questions...

is it possible to find out and reference the current page number of a XHtml page?

and

is it possible to dynamically control the page headder and footers for a XHtml page?

What I'm trying to do is to
1) create a contents page that shows the page numbers for each chapter
2) only show headder and footer for certain pages

Thanks

You can't reliably control pages being printed in a dynamic fashion - partly because you really have no control over, or communication with, the printer. About the best you can do is set page breaks so that the content will fit on most page sizes. It's possible to set up counters but there's no guarantee that your counter will coorespond to what is actually being printed.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
