I can't seem to get 5 of our NT workstations to print to our network printer (HP laserjet 5si) in landscape with MS Word or MS Excel (I don't remember trying Powerpoint yet, I'll do so tomorrow).

Is this a problem with Office or the drivers for the Laserjet 5si? Can anyone suggest any tips? Thanks

Windows application all use the capabilities of the printer drivers to structure the output. I would look at your drivers first before investigating the Office products.

I would like to add however that if the issue is the driver removing the printer and adding it back it will not typically resolve the issue when network printers are involved with NT.

You may end up having to manually remove the driver files after removing the printer and then add the printer back in to get the files reinstalled correctly.

Please refer to article Q135406 at the support.microsoft.com website which will explain where the files are deposited. I found it easier just to rename the folder if they only have the one network printer installed before reinstalling the printer. joegz

Hasit and joegz,

I appreciate the response and tips on this matter which proved to be the right one. I was able to fix this problem with ease. I hope someday I'd be in the position to help you out. Thanks again.
