Printing Hidden Form instead of Previewed Report

I have a multiuser database that is generally working well, except when someone previews a report and looks a multiple pages (perhaps minimizes the screen for a while) and then tries to print the report or part of the report. When they print they get the image of the main form which is open in the background, but hidden (not visible).

It can be difficult to purposefully get the problem to happen, there is no one thing I can isolate as causing the problem, and if I click on the report and the Access toolbars a bunch of times, sometimes it will return focus to the report, but again it is sporadic and seemingly not directly related to one event.

It seems like I need to set focus to the report, but I am not sure how to accomplish this. Has anyone ever experienced this problem. - By the way I work with Access 97, but make a copy in Access 2000 and it occurs in both databases.

Thanks.

Hi Kris,

I have never had a problem with this but when I read your problem I did think of one possible solution. You could create a toolbar for the report that you are having a problem with and on the print button set it to a macro that will run code to specifically print that report. Let me know what you think. Regards,
