Hi there,
I have a report that has a group header, if it goes over multiple pages it shows as "Statement Cont" etc. When the section ends it shows a Totals Grid of Aged Debt. My problem is I cant seem to get the Group Header information showing when the section ends.

From example

Page 1 - Lots fo details, shows Group Header info all good
Page 2 - Lots fo details, shows Group Header info all good
Page 3 - No details, does not show group header all bad.

Anyone have any idea's on this.

What is contained in the group header? Is it just the groupname? If so, you can copy that into a groupfooter_a section, format the group footer section (above group footer_a in the section expert) to "keep section together". You could conditionally suppress the GF_a if the group footer does NOT start at the beginning of the page, but it would probably look fine to allow it to repeat just above the group footer anyway. Let me know if you want to conditionally suppress it.

Hi there,
The group header contains "Statement (Cont)" if over 1 page....and some other details like the column headers. Then on the last section it displays the Ageing grid.......does tht make sense.

How did you create the "(Cont)"--is this a formula or did you change it in the groupname->options->customize groupname area?

I'm guessing you only want the groupname above the group footer, not the column headers--is that correct?

No, I don't understand what you mean by "last section". Please explain what specific section and what you mean by "last". Also, do not use the term "detail" except to refer to the detail section, as that adds confusion. Thanks.

Sorry for the delay.

Yes I created a forumla as follows?
If InRepeatedGroupHeader then
"Statement as at " + ToText({?Statement Date}, "dd-MMM-yyyy") + " (cont.)"
else
"Statement as at " + ToText({?Statement Date}, "dd-MMM-yyyy")

To be honest it's no big deal to show the column headers as well.....would probably be better in this case.

When I say last section:- If I print a ststement and it goes over 3 pages. Obviously the Group Footer will appear in the last section......usually when over 3 pages the Group Footer will then appear on a new page, this is what I mean about last section...sorry.

So this is a regular formula, not a groupname. Why aren't you referencing the group field in the formula instead of a parameter--are they always the same?

Your last post makes it sound like you want to eliminate the column headers above the group footer? Please explain whether you are using GHa and GHb sections, and what is located in each. Why not use the page header section for column names? Then explain exactly what you want showing and where.
