Hello All,
I'm hoping someone can help me out... We are using CR8.5, we view reports through the Activex viewer on our intranet. Some workstations are unable to print the reports (through the viewer) to a specific printer (Sharp). For others it works fine. The problem is that the reports print out but are unreadable. All text is just gargbled letters, numbers, and symbols.

The printer is shared from a server (not where the CR reports are created). I have deleted and re-added the printer on both the workstations on which this works and on the ones that it doesn't (I think that reloads the driver). Result is: no change. The workstations that previously worked still do, and the ones that didn't still don't.

You could try changing fonts. Where I work, I did I test document with examples of fonts, some of which showed OK on the screen but failed on the printer.

That's what I thought I'd try next as well, but no luck. I checked and the report uses Times Ne Roman as the font and I verified that both the workstation the works and the workstation that does not are using the same version of this font. I also loaded all the fonts from the ws that works to the ws that does not.

Just for the record, I've toggled the "No Printer" setting on the report itself.
