I have been programming in Fox/Foxpro 2x for some time now. When designing reports etc for printing on laser printers I have always used a standard driver setup which has always worked. Howerver recently I developed an application for a customer with a Canon LBP Printer (an old one) and I find then when the customer prints it can not print lines etc properly. I have tried all the different laser printer drivers standard with foxpro but with no luck. Does anyone know where drivers can be found for laser printers etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say "it can not print lines etc properly", I'm guessing that it is printing foreign-language characters and other symbols, correct?
If that's the case...gosh, it brings back memories. I used to have to answer this 3x a week.
The character set of the printer needs to be changed. On most laser printers, this can be done using the menu on the LCD. Change the default character set to something like "PC-8". The printer manual should have both the instructions to bring up this menu, as well as a list (and perhaps samples) of the supported character sets.

FoxDev is Correct, The problem is not FoxPro, it is the default font set on the printer.
I have a couple of FPW 2.6 applications that ran fine under Windows 95 but when the customers upgraded their computers and got Windows 98 we started getting an error message on program start-up. Both computers are running Windows 98 Second Edition; one is a Gateway and the other a Dell. When the programs are called from the desktop, we get a box with an error message saying the program has performed an illegal operation and asking to "Cancel" or "Ignore". Selecting "Ignore", allows the program to continue and start normally.

What can we do to elimate this annoying step in the start-up sequence?

Fats,
FoxPro 2.6 was a dos based application that could not access drives larger then 2 gig. There is a fix for the problem. Go to the Microsoft foxpro knowledge base and check it out
The Microsoft patch page for this is located here:
<A HREF=" TARGET="_new">
David W.
