Hi.
We're running ACCPAC (DOS version 6.1) on a Win2K Pro workstation. Printer is an HPLJ 4100DTN.
A staff member tried to print the G/L.
We've set up the workstation to print to LPT1 by using the NET USE command and that part works ok. The problem stems from the fact that when printing the G/L (approx 100 pages printed front and back), it takes almost 10 minutes to print the first 10 pages or so, then another 10-15 minutes to print the next 3-4 pages, etc.
When printing from a Windows 98 workstation to the same printer, it takes about 2 minutes to process the print job and about 2 minutes to print the entire job (no lapses, etc).
It's obvously a Win2K issue but I have no idea what to do to troubleshoot it. The obvious answer would be to remove Win2K and revert back to Win98, but this isn't an option since there are other apps installed that are optimized for Win2K.
TIA for any help and/or suggestions you fine folks can offer.
