I need to print from a DOS based program to my printserver. I am running Windows XP Pro. I have a Linksys PPSX1 printserver named SCB81705. I have an Epson LQ 570e impact printer printing labels. I have the port set to LPT3. I try to input the following command in DOS:

net use lpt3: \\SCB81705\P1 /persistent:y

I get the message "Network resource type is not correct." What can I do to get my system printing? I have other systems in the office that work, but they were set up before my time here.

Well I solved the problem in the most expedious way. Got rid of the Linksys printserver and set the printer up on my Windows server.
