Hello

I have to set up a old DOS based database application on our network and need some help with the print setup.

I understand that I can install DOS drivers for our Networked Laserjet 4 and 4000n and 'capture' a LPT port but when I go into the print setup of the application it lists a load of old drivers for laserjet II's etc

How can I get my 4000n and 4 drivers visible to this program?

Thanks for your help

EB

As you might know the printerdrivers installed in Windows does not work with DOS. The only way to get it to work is to try and use an old driver from the application, try and use an alternate LJ 4 M Plus or to try and get a driver from the manufactor of the application. It might also be needed to add several PJL / PCL commands via a parallel cable to adjust the margins, trayselection, papersize ect.

hmmn - I thought you might say something like that!

I have got it printing something now using a plain Laserjet dos driver, but I needn those pcl commands to get it set-up for A4

Thanks

EB
