Is there a way to force which pages are printed from which paper bin in Crystal 8.5

For example in a crystal report that contains several letters, I want print the first page on headed note paper and then subsequent pages on plain. When the next letter begins (within the same document) I want it to go back to the headed note paper.

I don't think so mickymoo Gary Parker

Maybe if you set up the report so each new letter is a groupheader. Then format section on group footer so that it will go to next page after it prints the end of each group. Then configure your printer so that each time the first page prints it pulls from one bin and subsequent pages from another bin.

Microsoft Word includes fancy options like that as part of Page Setup. Crystal 8.5 includes some useful options within Printer Setup, but not anything as fancy as a different source for the first page. Madawc Williams

This might be a long shot, and I've never actually tried it with Crystal, but could you create formulas to include an escape character sequence that the printer would interpret to determine the appropriate tray? You'd need your printer manual to determine the escape codes, and you'd need a formula to generate the letterhead tray code for page 1, and the plain paper tray code for all other pages. Alternatively, you could use a product like Visual Cut to burst your document and print it.
