Printing formated Excel worksheet

I'm using Excel 2002 to create simple spreadsheet with text and formulas. The formatted pattern of a column appears in the normal view, but does not appear in the preview version and does not print. I've tried several different printers with the same results, so I believe that the print drivers are not the problem. Any tips?

Check the Print Options in Tools->Options.

you may have specified not to print the background formatting of cells for example..
