Printing fit to paper

I am printing out A2 separations on an A4 postscript laser printer. Short of physically scaling the file down so that everything fits on the A4 paper size, I cannot seem to find a way of simply asking the prigramme to print 'fit to paper' as I can in Freehand. Changing page setup to 50% does not what happens in the separations dialogue box.

Any suggestions would be great.
