Hello,
Is it possible to directly connect a printer (Genicom LG05Plus, high capacity wide carriage line printer, printer has RS-232 and IEEE 1284 parallel connectivity, Ethernet via parallel port) directly to the PBX (CS1000E, ver 4021, Rel 5, issue 50 J +) and have it print:

1 - Everything that occurs, all calling/transfers from station to station, all incoming and outgoing calls
2 - Everything that happens on the console (via modem, any TTY, or any interface)

Basically I want a audit paper copy of everything that occurs on the switch, including all calls and configuration commands.

Thanks,

Even if you could, there isn't a printer built that could keep up with the Transactions

CDR is the way to collect all call information, then you will need a program to interpret it into something that is readable.
On the collection of console information, instead of a printer, you could set up a PC, directly connected to a TTY port, that will print out everything. This not only saves paper, but gives you the ability to search for specific things, without having to go through reems of paper. You can save it to a network drive and have a back up forever if you want.
