My VB6 application uses Crystal Reports XI RDC to print/display reports from an Access DB. I found out last week that on Windows Vista 64-bit systems the users get the following error when trying to print reports.

"You do not have permission to use the selected printer. Please check with your network administrator."

Other programs (i.e. Word, Excel, IE) can print successfully.

Do you have any ideas on a resolution?

I'm pretty sure that CR-XI is not 64-bit OS compliant, so the print-drivers may not function.

On the other side, I think that CR-2008 is 64-bit OS compliant - but there is no RDC for CR-2008.

Best I can suggest is that you update your VB6 app to view the Crystal Reports XI files as a PDF, which you can open on any OS.

This should work as long as you don't have on-demand sub-reports in your RPT files.
