Printing default message instead of blank date 1

Hi guys,

Not sure how to go about this!!

I have a field called ShipDate which, as the name suggests, prints the shipping date onto a report. If we don't know the shipping date, then it is left blank. Presently, the ShipDate is in ShortDate format on the report, and i'm trying to work out how to make it display 'TBA' when the ShipDate field is empty.

Any ideas?

you can't, if the textbox is formatted as a date, then you have to put a date in...

you can get around it by makeing a new textbox which is formatted as text, and linking this to the old date box (which is now made not visible)

then you can use iif(isnull(blah), 'TBA', blah)) or any other solution...
