I had a question yesterday about getting dates in access to yyyymmdd format, which was quickly resolved. The fields that I need in that format are now in it.

Here's my problem...these records are all being printed to a text file.

From the table, the date for the record displays as: 20040608.

When printed to the text file though, it's back as 6/8/2004.

I need it output in yyyymmdd format, ideally without forcing the data entry people to input it that way to begin with (that'd be a real nightmare for both myself and them).

Is there a simple solution to this?

Either take a look at the format property of the field or at the Format function.

Hope This Helps, PH.
