I'm trying to print a custom sized sheet landscape. The sheet is 8.2 X 6.1 inches, 43 lines per sheet. The file being printed is a UNIX file with multiple pages.

I have included the commands to print to tray 3, custom size and landscape, (EC&l4H, EC&l101A, EC&l1O). I set tray 3 for custom size in both the printer control panel and the switch inside the paper tray.

The first page prints as expected, but the following page prints as though it were printing the remaining lines of a 66 line document (it prints 43 lines on the first page, then seems to print 23 lines on the next page, ejects and starts on line 67 of the file).

Any help would be appreciated!

It looks like your data file contains variable-length pages, separated by FormFeed (0x0c) characters, where pages are longer than 43 lines.

Pages deeper than the 43-line capacity of your custom pages are overflowing on to the next page.

You need to either change the data file so that FormFeed characters occur more frequently, or change the font and line increment used on the printer (preferably via PCL command rather than relying on front panel settings) so that more lines can be printed per page.
