Hi all,

we have no clue what to do about this one...

We have (successfully) set up a printer that prints via RDC on the local computer. The good news is that the printer does print our Accpac invoices, the BIG problem is that even though we can select our custom invoice layout file (invoe01.rpt) when we print the invoice, the printer seems to completely ignore the custom invoice layout file and print an A4 page size (our invoices are smaller size and hence the whole layout is buggered).
We have even resorted to creating the custom page size for our invoice on our Terminal Server and that has also not worked??

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Are you set up to print directly to the printer or are you going to preview mode first?

We are going to print preview first

When you select File, Print Destination... from the main Accpac screen is the Use A4 in Place of letter checkbox checked?

Under administrative services open up Customization Directories. Do you have anything listed on that window?

Yes there is a Custom directory listed and when I had a look to see what is in that folder it is a .rpt file (although a different .rpt file to the one we are trying to print from).

Try exiting Accpac and then rename the *_p.ism file found under the <shared data path>\user\<accpac user id>\<company id> for the user company that you're connecting to.

e.g. c:\progs\accpac\user\admin\SAMINC_P.ISM

Nothing worked, we eventually had to resort to installing a thin print client, which then gives us the option to size the paper when printing locally and that seems to work fine.

The OTHER problem that I'm having is that the font that is printing from this Crystal Report form is not ledgible?
The printer (Epson LX300 prints perfectly from other programs - word, test page etc) just not from Accpac crystal reports forms.
What could the reason for this be? The form is not using any outlandish fonts, just plan Arial or Courier new.

THanks

Double-check the font used in the report. Perhaps it is using a different flavour or size of Arial that isn't being translated properly.
