I am at my wits end trying to figure out why Photoshop keeps printing a yellowish background that is supposed to be white. I think it has something to do with the gamma settings, but I don't know how to change them to get them back to where it is supposed to be. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Lori

Hi Lori

Do you mean 'printing' or 'displaying'?

If it is printing - and your Photoshop canvas is white - i.e. 255 Red, 255 Green & 255 Blue (or 0% CMYK) then i don't think it has anything to do with Gamma! If, on the other hand, you are referring to the display, then it could well be this.

Kind Regards
Duncan

Not sure if this is still an issue for you, but I had a similar problem with our old color copier. It would print the white area of just jpg files with a slight pink hue. It would happen if the "white" was actually 1% CMY. I had to go into the file and adjust the levels to "blow out" the whites slightly to make it actually 0% CMYK. For some reason, the printer tried to add color instead of dropping it to white.
