Is there a way to over-ride the default IE setting of not printing background colours?

Basically I've got a CSS coloured calendar, it can't be a static picture or somelike as the calendar can be changed and updated. Presenlty I'm using CSS and setting the background colour of a day dependant on state. Any ideas of a way around the problem?

I think this is a setting in the actual application, ie someone has to physically go to their print options and turn this off. I'm pretty sure yo don't have access to that from the web page via client-side coding.
Since ASP is server-side, you definately can't access it with that.

yeah, you do have to do it in IE options, just wondered if there was a way of getting it to print it.

Nothing I can think of other than trying to use gifs for the individual dates or somelike, not exactly the tidiest way of doing it.

Well, you do have the option of specifyong another stylesheet for print media, so you could always have your print stylesheet display a larger border around certain dates (which would look bolded) or bold the date when printed.
