We are running Autocad 2010 and when we use the paper size (custom) of 36 x 100 inches, it always prints 100 inches, whether it uses 100 inches or 10 inches to plot.

Can anyone help me? Wasting a lot of trees here!

What type of printer are you using; KIP, OCE, HP?

In most printer menus, there is a box that is required to be checked when you only want that which is plotted to be cut from the roll and not the entire sheet specified.

On my HP DesignJet T610, under the Features Tab in the Printer Preferences Menu, there is a Box called [Remove top/bottom blank areas]. That box controls the function you are looking for. Again, the controls vary from printer to printer, but you at least get an understanding of what you're looking for.

Good Luck.
