I have a customer with a Legend 6.1 using an Intuity Audix 4.1. They asked me to print a list of mailboxes that are in use, and the Attendants that they are using.
Ther is no printer attatched to the machine, but I was thinking about printing to a .txt file on a floppy. Is that possible? How?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, you can, with WinSPM and Passthru. Audix Administration, Start Log File (will have .log extension and readable as a .txt file). After starting the log file, do list ext, or list sub, list attendants. To determine which attendants are actually in use you would need to also do attendant routing tables. Note that dependant upon quality of your connection and particular pc, some data may be a bit skewed and require cleanup and tabulation/spacing in your text editor to make more presentable as finished product.

Ok, First off, it's a Audix 2.0.
Second, I am onsite connected directly to the admin port. Does the Audix have to be plugged into the admin port for pass-thru to work?

Let me get this straight.
I connect the Audix to the switch through the admin port, as if I were connecting my laptop.
Then I can plug my laptop into an analog port and dial in with the modem.
OK, when I do this I can go to Switch Admin on the Audix and it brings up SPM. But, when I click pass-thru on the laptop it just sits here.

Am I missing something?

If you are sitting at the Audix terminal, you should be able to login to Audix and print to a floppie drive on that machine. I thought it was the default print location.

I tried, but the floppy is not working. This thing is old.

Have you tried hooking a printer to the audix machine and printing to that?

I thought about that, but I don't want to do anything that might cause me to have to reboot. We're affraid it might not come back up. That's one of the reasons we are trying to print these reports.

well.....then sit next to the monitor and use your laptop to make a manual copy....

Chris--
If I understand your statement, this does not sound correct: "OK, when I do this I can go to Switch Admin on the Audix and it brings up SPM. But, when I click pass-thru on the laptop it just sits here."

When you dial in from your laptop you should hit the Legend, not the Audix. Since Audix is plugged into Legend Admin port, you dial into Legend via single-line port and *10. From Legend you do PassThru to Audix, sort of 'backdoor'. Then you highlight Audix Admin for command prompt line and do commands "list ext," etc.

Right.

What I was saying is, from the audix box I am able to admin the switch.
Using the single line and *10 I can admin the switch, but I cannot pass-thru to the Audix box.

So the communication seems to be one-way. Unless I am doing it wrong.
