Printing a line based on Page Mod

I have a report that is to be bound. I've got it set up so the page number will always be on the outside of the page and the date on the inside. The date is on line above the page number. I'd like to have a line go under the date and end at the center of the page number. How can I do this and have it in the proper place on both types of pages?
