hey.. i have a bunch of illustrator files i want to collate and print into a book. how can i do this using indesign, like.. i have a 6 page book (8.5x11 folded in half), i want the cover page to print on the right spread, 2nd page to print page2 and page6

...bit confused here, but a six page item will usually have two folds, a page has two sides therefore two pages...

...unless you mean a 4pg with a two page insert?

sorry for the poor example.

actually, I was playing with indesign some more, and found inbooklet se and the 2-up saddle stitch option.

my question now is, i do not have a duplexer to print double-sided, is there an easy method to print multiple pages, then reinsert it? or have it print every other page?

thanks in advance. i apologize if the question is confusing/simple.

That's wholly dependent on the software for your printer. Some allow you to print every other page, then reinserting and print the other pages. Just make the papaer size the correct size to print both halves of each page. I'm talking about printing from the indesign booklet created by Inbooklet.
