I have upgraded from 5.0.6. to 5.0.7. and some of the defaults seem to have changed. A remote tcp/ip laser printer used to just print what it was asked to but now it prints a banner page and a form feed after. I can't find where the setting are stored for this. I have tried adding some options into the printcap file but no difference. I thought that if I could get a banner to print on a 5.0.6. machine it would point me in the right direction but I can't get that working either.

Any clues

Thanks

yes I tried but when I try to use lpadmin it just says
Error reading printer information. I used scoadmin to setup the printer and have even tried to find the source of the banner, but failed. I certainly can't find a script with

in it (i thought maybe model or interface).

False alarm its the printer thats generating the banner, I had turned it off in SCO but the newer HP lasers using Jetdirect are configured to print a banner by default. I switched it off in the printer and all's well. I've been using Kyocera before but the client insisted on HP this time and I'll know what to look for in the future.

Thanks for your efforts.
