printig from dos programs

Hi I heve a canon bjc2000 printer
It works fine but I can print from dos programs

do I need any special drivers and if so here can I get them ?

When you set the printer up, did you reply YES to the question about this printer being used by MSDos programs?

The printer does support DOS printing. Make sure in the printer config it is selected to capture DOS print jobs. If you just want to print basic text you can dump it to the printer by hitting (CONTROL-PRINT SCRN)

You can also use the echo command if you want to print a text file. Such as..

C:>\echo autoexec.bat >lpt1:

This would print the autoexec.bat file to the printer.
