does anyone know how to print colored text to the terminal in win2k or some other non-9x windows? i

i tried

printf("\033[1;36m");

and it came out literally žÅNžÅ

Look up "Consoles and Character mode support" on MSDN. There is a completely new set of I/O routines. Just another typical MS thing not to support printf etc.
