HI,
yet another printer problem. I have some users with HP LaserJet 4 and others with 4L's. They are not networked. They sit on LPT1 on the desktop.
The issue is that some users when they log into Metaframe pick up anothers users' printer (which is connected to their LPT1 on the desktop) which can be in the same building or it could be in another town completely (but the users are connected on the WAN link). Therefore the users cannot print and they get an error msg " error writing to Client\HQNT1-52#\HP LaserJet 4 for the Document...: the operation did not complete successfully. Do you wish to retry or cancel the job?".
I have ticked the connect client printers at login and default to main client printer in the user configuration.
I have tried removing the text for one of the printer properties "autocreated created client printer". Didn't work.
I have tried changing the printer driver for one of the printers on the desktop, so that Metaframe may think that it is another printer. Didn't work.
I am running out of options? Has anyone got any solutions to the problem?
Thanks, i've spent so much time on this and have not got anywhere and i'm fed up.
