Hi
I am wanting to add two printers to my network and would apprecaite some advice on the matter.

I have 1 PC running Vista and two laptops running XP.
1 Epson printer and a Brother laserjet.
My network is an ASDL in on a Netgear router then use Homeplugs to send the network through the house.

So basically I want to add 2 printers to my wired network.
Should i be looking at a print server ?
Can I get a converter to change the cable from the printer to the PC (as the setup is now) to a USB to RJ45 socket ?

Aplogies for being a bit 'novice' here just aint got a clue what I need

THanks

You can leave the printers hooked up to the individual pc's and just setup printer sharing on your network so each pc sees the other pc's printer.

Ideally, I want to have the PC and 2 printers in one room and have the laptop in another room.
Would it be the same kind of principle to hook BOTH printers to the PC and have the laptops see them?

Only draw back I can see from this approach is having to have the PC on in the other room

You can have multiples on a PC. The tradeoff requires that machine to be running whenever you want to print across the network. And when you have problems on it you lose both printers. But you knew that.
I'm not sure about the print server issue across a network using power line networking. The one attempt I made ended with failure. There was data transferred but it never got to the printers. But on a cabled network they give great flexability in printer placement.

Give the wrong symptoms, get the wrong solutions.

As far as I can tell the homeplugs are the same as having a wired network.
I will try the multiple on 1 PC tonight and see how it ends up. can't see that failing to be honest, Thats if I can get vista drivers hahaha
Had that working with 1 printer on a wirelesss network using printer sharing so it should be fine.
Ideally want to get them independant of the PC they are attached to, but if the other (suggested) method works then that will do for now

Thanks for the assists!
