I have a epson stylus 640 printer that I am trying to install into a piece meal system I have a nokia monitor and a gateway brain. I go through the prompts and all is well, then the last prompt says that I need a windows 98 CD-Rom installation disk second edition. That is fine but can you find such a disc, this is probably a dinosaur and hard to find. Could you please help me out?

This is the CD that was used to install the operating system on your machine. Or in the case of a cloned system, the CD that installed the original.

You might look for a directory containing .cab files. Some cloned systems have the install stuff stored on the hard drive. If you find them, browse the install path to where the .cab files are stored.

Give the wrong symptoms, get the wrong solutions.

I'm not at a 98 machine to follow that sequence of steps, but if it wants the 98 cd to get a driver from, you might be able to solve the problem if you can locate and download a driver and install the printer from that.
