I have been trying to printer some document but it just keeps on saying "Is your printer turned on? Is the cable correctly connected?". Well I have checked to see both, and it is turned on and the usb cable correctly connected. But when I put that cable into another usb port, it says usb not supported or something like that. I have a Canon LBP-2410 Laser Shot printer and I desperately need to print this document. Can someone please help me solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Obvious question - is USB working on your machine? Have you other USB devices you can try? Have you looked in device manager? If there is a problem, might be worth removing all the USB entries in device manager and letting windows re-install them. If still a problem, could be the USB controller on your motherboard is damaged - in which case you'd need say a PCI USB card to re-establish USB support on your machine (or a new mobo of course).
