Printer usage report for HP Color LaserJet 5500 and 5550 1

Hi,

Just wandering if anyone knows of a printer usage reporting tool that I can use with the HP LaserJet 5500 & 5550.

I thought I had found the answer in the HP Easy Printer Care software but ten discovered that the printer usage report in this software only supports certain models.

Does anybody know of an alternaltive tool that will do the same/similar thing ?

Assuming you are using Windows, WJA 8.0 and the Report Generations plug-in (

will probably do quite well for your needs but if you only have a few printers to monitor it would be overkill installing WJA.

Many thanks hpwizzard. This is exactly what I am looking for. Although we are unlikely to use most of the options in this plug-in, we already use WebJetAdmin having this running too is fine.

It is a bit over my head I think, but I will try and work it out somehow!

My needs are simple: I have 3 HP Color LaserJet 5550 printers that I want to create a usage report on. ie. page count, color/b&w pages printed, users job count. Thats it really.
Anybody have any tips for this ? I have MS Access installed and the database connector so the data collected is stored in there.
