I have an HPDeskjet 940c that likes to suddenly stops being listed in Active Directory as a shared printer. We have 20 other printers listed in Active Directory and this doesn't happen to any of them. To get the 940c to list in the directory"again, I have to stop listing it, then re-list it. This setting usually holds for about three hours then suddenly--*poof*--gone again. It sounds more like a printer issue more than an Active Directory one.

Anyone ever heard of anything similar?

(Note: The printer is shared out to a lot of users, but only 15 users print to it, and only occasionally.

Thanks!

I occasionally have users who get this message when they can't print:

"The print spooler service is not running."

I've verified the spooler service is, in fact, running on both the user's PC as well as the PC the printer is attached to. Weird.
