We use seamless applications. When a user tries to print from a seamless app, their locally installed printers are available to them from a citrix app, which we want.
The problem is that when a user goes into the printing options, the correct options for our printers (duplexer, expanded trays) are not avaliable to them. One would think that it would transfer settings from the locally installed printer, which it doesn't appear to be doing.
The only workaround we found (which isn't really feasible) is this. Once the user prints to a locally installed printer via a seamless app, we go to the citrix server. There will now be a printer listed as "Client\HP Laserjet xxxxx". If you go to the settings there and enable duplexing, it then shows up for that user, but only for that user, and only on that machine.
Is there a way to get the printer options to carry over from the local machine?
Thanks,
Andrew
