My Win2k print services subsystem will not restart. It is complaining about a dependency not being available or marked for deletion. I tried reinstalling the Lexmark print driver I think the print services are depending upon, but, the Lexmark driver complains it cannot install because the print services susbsystem is not running.

Hello,
Thanks for the detailed responses. Is the objective to locate any instances of Lexmark and delete these from the registry where I find them? I have followed the instructions to the section on registry section Version-x. In my case I have a Version-2 and Version-3 registry locations. Am I to delete the Lexmark entries there as well?

I used Bruce Sanderson's directions a few years ago and it worked. As to your question, I found this:

'delete all the sub-keys inside Version-2 and Version-3, but not these keys themselves'
