Hello All

The 3380 has only a USB port but it can be networked as it was with non-HP print server. Almost good just the printing side of it worlked however, the scan capabilities - from HP software installed on user's PC- wouldn't detect the all-in-one 3380.

Will the scan capability from PC only work if it's a USB connection or is it because it is not an HP printer server?

Thanks in Advance!
Angel

Take a look at THIS little gem.

More than an ethernet/USB print server, it allows the connection of ANY usb device... so your all-in-one scanner/printer/etc. should work.

I haven't yet... but I have a friend who's in the pro audio business, who's going to plug a wireless access point into one and use his laptop to run his Yamaha DM1000 mixer remotely. *THAT* is a slick application; other people who have DM1000's recommended it, so we'll be playing with one soon.

If it will do full USB control of a Yamaha Mixer (which obviously isn't a printer, it has full two-way USB communication) and that box will do it, that's a heck of an endorsement.

Agreed. Let us know how you make out on that, will you?
