HI all,

I have a question that has LONG been a problem, not just on my home printer, but work printers as well.
The problem I am experiencing, is that there is a print job in the queue. It has been stuck there for several days now. I tried deleting it, but it won't go away. It just stays there and says it is deleting it. And it is always the top print job in the queue.
If I have several print jobs in the queue I can easily delete those jobs, but again, never the first one. WHY???
I have noticed this at work as well. Very hard to get rid of. I can reboot, but I don't have the time or patients to be doing all these reboots.
I have a lexmark X5150 printer hooked up to a compaq deskpro PC that is using WinXP with service pack 2. The printer software is XP compatible.

Thanks,

This doesn't address the original question but rather than reboot the machine just stop and then start the Print Spooler. Its a lot faster.

Cheers.

Or delete the file in the spooler directory

I'll try those, but where will I exactly find the print spooler for my PC at home? I'll try to look for it and see if I can find it anywhere.

Thanks,
