I WANT TO MAKE USE OF OUR SPARE PARALLEL PRINTER. WE HAVE SPARE TTY PORT. CAN I CONNECT THE PARALLEL PRINTER ON THIS TTY PORT (IT'S PART OF THE ASYNC BOX).

If the printer you have has a serial port, as well as the parallel port yes...probably
It would be a matter of setting dip switches...and attaching serially..
If not, they sell devices that convert parallel to serial ....not sure on cost or workability..... ....but worth a try
