Our lab of 30+ XP Pro computers uses an HP 4200N laserjet printer that has a dedicated network connection and is shared out through our 2K server. Each computer is connected to the server through a standard tcp/ip port.
When one computer sends a doc to print and there is a problem, say the paper drawer is open, it sets the printer properties to offline. This then propagates through the whole lab and no one can print. I cannot find the one computer that has had the problem to bring it back online without going one by one. Problem.
Is there a way to set the properties to not take the printer offline?
Thanks!
