I have a Compaq A1500 and i upgraded my system to Windows XP Pro.I did not upgrade my driver for the printer before the system upgrade till afterwards. Now I am having problems with the printer.Sometimes I will get an error saying that the port is busy or the printer is busy when it really isn't even being used. Sometimes it won't even do anything but I sisconnect the printer from the outlet and it will start printing.What can i do about this? Any tips?

A general (possible) fix for all things USB is to disconnect the device, uninstall all related drivers and software. Reboot the machine. Re-install software and drivers. Shutdown machine. Connect USB device. Start machine. (And keep your fingers crossed).
You might want to check these for a couple of similar stories to yours (short on solutions but you might get something from them).
