Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the right forum but thought I should give it a shot. I have a user who's network printer continuosly prints non stop. The only way to stop it is to shut down the printer itself. I have stopped the spooler service and restarted it, deleted the printer and reinstalled it, no avail. The printer is an hp 2500 nad is no longer under warranty so i could nt call HP for help,pc is running xp professional sp2. No any other users have this problem

Thanks in advance

What is it printing? Does it continue printing if usb is disconnected from it?

There is a point in wisdom and knowledge that when you reach it, you exceed what is considered possible - Jason Schoon

It is a network printer with its own static ip address, installed by simply capturing the printer name, its located about 30 ft from the user.It continuosly prints whatever job is sent to it non stop by the user.

The same job over and over again?

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Yes. Its like this if you send one page of job , the same page gets printed continuousl resulting in of course waste of paper ..until the printer is shut down.

If it works for everyone else and only messes up when this single person uses it then I would look at that workstation and possibly do a quick inplace install of his OS.

Regards,
David.
