Printer print blank page on XP boot up

Hello friends,
I have a HP photosmart that is acting up. It is brand new with the correct driver installed. For some reason, it is printing a blank page (or at times a few characters) everytime my PC (wins XP) boots up. Can someone shed some light on this or have had this problem before. Thanks.
