Printer Presets

Hi,

Just moved to new Mac Pro running Leopard and have alot of Printer Presets set up on my old PowerMac G4 Quiksilver. Is there any way I can copy these over?

You can try going to User/Library/Preferences on the old machine and moving "com.apple.print.custompresets.plist" and see what happens. Just make sure to move any copy of this file on the new machine to the desktop or something so you have the old copy if the moved one does not work.

You might also have to move "com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist" (also in prefs folder)if its there but not sure. Again, keep a copy of the one on tech new machine, if you have it, till things check out.

You have both the PPC to Intel and OSX something to OSX 10.5 to consider so make sure things work before trashing what came with the new machine.

thanks once again although had just come on here to post where to geet them when seen your reply. Just copied the file across and it all appears in my printer list. havent tried them yet. also backed up the file i replaced.
