Hi All,
I am using Samba 2.2.7a as a print server which supplies drivers as well. I've set the [print$] section up in smb.conf according to the Samba How-To (thank you Jerry) and successfully uploaded the driver files. When I set printing preferences (Properties - Configure - select Duplexing Unit, Envelope Feeder, etc.) these do not "stick". That is, subsequent to applying the changes, I do not have these options reflected in the Print dialog. Is Samba capable of keeping these properties and preferences server-side? I would like to set up my printers so that all connecting clients have the same base set of properties simply by connecting to the printer.
Thanks,
Chuck
