Printer Port Help

I tried to install a new printer port after I created the printer port and added the printer I stopped and restarted the spooler.&nbsp;&nbsp;After restarting the spooler the printer port that I just created was gone alomg with 6 other ports.&nbsp;&nbsp;I cannot remake the ports unless I delete them from the registry becasue it says that the port is already in use.&nbsp;&nbsp;After removing from the registry it allows me to remake port but after rebooting or bringing the spooler down and then back up the printer port is gone.&nbsp;&nbsp;I have tried to make other ports with different IP addresses with the same problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is a compaq server with Nt4.0 with SP5 loaded.&nbsp;&nbsp;I reloaded the SP after all of this started to no avail.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any one have any ideas.<br><br>Thanks <br>Jeff

after addig the new printer the key in the registry became corrupt after exporting the key and going through it line by line to fine the corrupt line and removing it and then importing t back to the registry all of the printers came bace as they originally were.&nbsp;&nbsp;I had to re-add the printer that caused the problem but all is well.<br><br>Thanks <br>Jeff
