we have a couple of printers on our network which often send out those annoying netware popup alerts when somethings only slightly wrong with them.. is there any way to turn these off? the only thing ive found is "Receive Broadcast Messages" in the Novell client advanced settings screen, but that wants a restart, which i cant do, due to what the machine is used for..

is this the correct setting? I've changed it from All to Server Only for when it next restarts, which hopefully will do the trick..?

If the print servers you are using are HP, there is also a setting in JetAdmin you can use to turn off broadcast messages.

Also, under client properties, in the Default Capture section, there is a notify option that is checked by default. Remove this check mark. Brent Schmidt CNE,Network + [atom]

Also check in your client properties - "Default Capture" tab - uncheck "Notify" box.
