I am running a windows nt workstation as the only user. I have an Hp540 printer installed, I am trying to install an HP430 plotter and an HP1220cse printer (large format color). I have one parallel port (currently used by 540) and two USB ports (available). Since I am a single user and don't need to print on different devices at the same time and would like to keep one USB port available for a digital camera down load port later. What would be my options for hooking up all these printers/plotters so I can use them with out switching cables or using a switch box??? I have lots of open slots and a few cards in my junk box?? I am an engineer (mechanical) and familiar with adding boards etc., I just don't know what to add?? and how to configure??

It wasn't clear whether your printers were all USB/all parallel. If USB, you could buy a little USB hub so that you would have extra USB ports. Or since you have slots you could put in another parallel port...
