Hi,

We have several HP printers on our LAN, with ostly different models. Some computers when printing to some printers display the success notification message after a print job is complete e.g.:

"the document was sent to the printer. ... Document name: .... Printer name ...."

How do i disable this? how come only some computer/printer combinations do this?

Thanks,

Barry.

This is an XP Servicepack 2 demon. Go to Start, Printers and Faxes and select File, Server Properties and then click on the Advanced tab. Clear the check boxes against 'Show Information Notification for...'

I had the same messages from one printer on my network.

Similar steps can be followed on Windows 2000. The relevant check boxes are at the bottom, marked with Notify.
