Have a HP Laserjet 1100 hooked up to windows 2000 Pro machine. Whenever i try to print something nothing happens. I look in the printer folder and double click the printer and the job keeps looping (size keeps changing, status goes from printing to deleting and back to printing again). I have installed and uninstalled every print driver i found for it. Funny thing is if i pause the printer and go into dos and type "net use /d lpt1:" everything will work fine till the machine is rebooted and i'm back at square one. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any suggestions are appreciated.

How is the printer attached? Is it shared/networked? And are you using the net use command with the /persistent:yes switch?

It's attached by a parallel cable (LPT1 port) on the PC.
